So, what do you think about learning to Square Dance? Did you dance years ago, and maybe want to refresh and get back into it? Maybe you just want to DO something active once a week and this might be the thing. Come try it! I am an active, single, 50-something woman, in good shape. I am seeking a gentleman to be my partner. I have danced before, but I want to refresh and get really good. You don't need a sense of rhythm or have "smooth moves" to square dance. Just a reasonable memory and a willingness to have fun. Being in OK shape helps, although it isn't strenuous. Lessons start at the Red Ribbons club on Tuesday, June 17, at Marine Park in south Santa Monica. The weekly classes last a year and we are taught Mainstream and Plus. I don't care what your age or marital status is. This is strictly square dancing. You can change partners with each dance, to learn with a variety of levels, there are usually lots of single ladies. The cost is $5 each lesson.
