National organization providing one-on-one tutoring in students homes seeks experienced tutors who care about making a difference in the lives of their students, to join our tutor roster! Tutoring involves homework support, filling in missing foundational concepts, study skills, and test taking strategies. Must have a positive attitude, ability to build confidence in our students, and make learning fun! Must live in Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, Torrance or adjacent communities to drive to students homes. All grade levels, all subjects, including Math, English, Foreign Language, and Sciences. SAT or ACT prep experience a plus.
Requirements:
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience required
- Must be personable and able to build rapport with both students and parents
- Tutors must maintain timesheet and submit invoice on monthly basis
- Reliable transportation, willingess to drive up to 20 minutes each way
- Available after school/evening hours for minimum of 2 to 4 days per week.
Hours vary based on student requirements, typically range from 2-10 hours per week
References and background check will be required.
