We are seeking a LAMP PHP/CMS Developer for a 6-8 week onsite contract position.
This person must have solid experience integrating well-formed presentation-layer (XHTML/CSS/JavaScript) into a PHP powered CMS (Drupal is a most likely candidate). Must be familiar with building a website from scratch so knowledge of setting up a development environment to writing installation/configuration documentation is required.
No learning on the job, must be able to demonstrate actual experience of the above by submitting code samples, documentation samples, and live URLs of working CMS driven websites built on a LAMP development stack.
PHP
+ Several years of solid PHP experience
+ Experience setting up new PHP development environments and documentation
+ Ability to read and utilize APIs from 3rd party sources
CMS
+ Experience with installing and configuring web content management systems
+ Experience with integrating presentation-layer code into CMS templates while maintaining 100% design integrity
+ Knowledge of full website production life cycle, from dev to launch
Other
+ Documentation of all configuration and installation procedures must be created
+ Solid knowledge of AJAX and how the presentation-layer communicates with the server-side
+ Working knowledge of relationship databases that power database driven websites
