The dogs at Linda Blair's Worldheart Foundation in Toluca Lake is in desperate need of dog crates that are ideally 48" long - the dogs average 50 pounds. If you have a pad or blanket for the floor of the crate, that would be great. The fires last summer took a tremendous toll on the crates used to transport their rescue dogs to a safe place, and they need their supply replenished. If you have a crate you'd like to donate to them, please bring it to Pet Foods Market & Supplies at 1816 N. Sepulveda Blvd., Manhattan Beach, 310.546-8090, or if you live in PV or Rolling Hills, to the Pet Foods Market at 716 Yarmouth Road in PVE, Lunada Bay, 310.377-1616 The stores will be collecting the crates and iLoveDogs.com, based in Torrance, will be driving the crates to the Worldheart Foundation in their big purple van. (Hours for both stores are: 9:30 am to 7:00 pm weekdays, and 10am to 6pm weekends.) This "crate drive" will end on Monday, November 2nd, 2009. On behalf of Linda Blair and her staff, Pet Foods Market owners Livia and Barbara, and everyone at iLoveDogs.com, a huge thank you for helping the wonderful dogs temporarily living at Worldheart until they find their forever homes.
