The mission of the Arthur Ashe Student Health & Wellness Center (Ashe Center) is to help students resolve or manage health matters so they can attain their academic and broad educational goals. The Ashe Center is the on-campus student health resource for all enrolled University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) registered students. Approximately 21,500 patients are seen and 83,000 visits are made annually to the Ashe Center's Primary Care Clinics, Specialty Clinics, Women's Health Clinic and Men's Health Clinic. Reporting to the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs, the incumbent provides strategic, operational, administrative, technological and financial leadership to the Ashe Center with a budget of approximately $14 million and a staff of approximately 101 FTE. Overall responsibility for the quality of medical services provided by the Ashe Center and is responsible for establishing and maintaining appropriate relations with the UCLA Medical School, the UCLA Medical Center, other entities in the Center for Health Sciences, student health organizations at other UC campuses, the Office of the President, and the community. Ensure that the Ashe Center complies with all University of California and UCLA regulatory policies; maintain its accreditation status; and meet relevant state and federal regulations.
