Southern California Real Estate Investment Company seeks sharp, independent, Human Resources Manager. Qualified candidates must possess strong listening, communication and organizational skills; must be computer literate, detail oriented and possess the ability to produce high quality of work in a fast-paced environment.
The candidate needs to serve as a consultant to partners and managers, advising them on employee relations, legal compliance changes, current trends in human resources management etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintain an understanding of all legal compliance changes and communicate this effectively.
· Leads company compliance with all existing governmental and labor legal reporting requirements including, but not limited to FMLA, OSHA, EEO accordingly. Maintains minimal company exposure to lawsuits.
· Directs the preparation of information requested or required for compliance with laws. Approves all information submitted. Protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations.
· Maintain and update all employee personnel files
· Manage employee time off requests.
· Communicates regularly with department upper management regarding employee issues that may arise.
· Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and assist with exit interviews.
Additional Requirements:
· BA/BS required
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
· Must be flexible and have a positive attitude
· Team player
· Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years HR experience
