Hi, my name is Maggie. I’m a female Dobie-Shepherd mix. I was on the streets a long time before my foster dad took me in. He first saw me several months ago close to his home in south LA. I was looking for food because I had 11 puppies that I needed to feed. I was very hungry. My foster dad could see that I had puppies but he didn’t know where I had them. So he left me alone and gave me food everytime he saw me. He tried following me a couple of times but my puppies were a very long way from his house. One day he met someone at his work that knew where I kept my little ones. But by that time my puppies were gone and so was I. Then one late night he saw me running around the streets with my friend Lucky. He got my friend first and put him in his truck. Then he came back for me. I wasn’t too friendly at first. People can be really mean to dogs on the street. But he gave me some tasty treats and pretty soon I was wagging my tail and letting him put a leash on me. Now I’m looking for a family that will love me, train me, and take care of me. I’ve been spayed, dewormed, fecal test done, vaccinated, and frontlined.
