Your own large bed/bath in large 2br/2ba Old Hollywood style duplexThe place is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath lower floor of a duplex in a really beautiful Spanish old-hollywood place. Big bedroom with it's own private bath available anytime now or on November 1. 2 large living rooms with hardwood floors, kitchen, dining area, front and back yards. Washer and dryer are in the apartment. Private parking in the back. I've tried to post pictures, but it's large enough you can't really show it all in four pictures. So here's part of the bathroom, two of the bedroom (my roommate also had a couch in there - it's a good size), and the kitchen. Except for the kitchens and the baths, the floors are hardwood and the living room has a beautiful fireplace as well.

Rent is $850, with an $850 security deposit. The lease is one year generally, then defaults to month to month after that. However, the Landlord is pretty cool with letting you out of it if you need to move, we just have to find someone else to rent the room in your stead, but unlike a sublease, then you are out : ) Bills are split evenly (50/50) and includes Cable with dvr access from your room, high speed internet, gas, water, electric, garbage etc... the uverse television and internet runs about $50 each per month, gas and electric vary depending on usage - in winter and if you cook and leave the lights on frequently they are higher, in summer they are often much lower.

My roommate just left after dropping out of UCLA law school and deciding to move home. He decided this one weekend and moved the next, so the room is available immediately if you'd like to move in before December 1. I graduated from UCLA law in May 2008 and am in my first year of practice for a small litigation firm, so I work very long hours during the week. Weekends, as much as I aspire to stay home and relax, generally don't work out that way, though I keep hoping. But if I don't have planned events to attend with friends, I seem to have a never-ending list of chores and errands to run on Saturday, and Sunday is my standing day to meet up with the girls in the afternoon. So basically, if not for a small, loving dog named Zoe, the place is your domain : )

When I am home, I am pretty easy-going. Not really into rules, or chore charts - have found that basic mutual respect seems to work out fine most of the time. What else? Just ask if you want to know more.

The location is great- Beverly Hills and West Hollywood adjacent, walking distance to Robertson, and the Beverly Center and a shopping center right down the street with an L.A. Fitness.

apartment: Move-in Jan 1st most likely. Utilities ARE included in the
720$=) I like to call my building a "post-historic, neo-cubist
archetectural fusion of 'faux-Bauhaus' and opaque reality". THAT being
said, it is a roomy 2bed, 2bath with a large kitchen. Your room will
accomodate a queen bed, desk & chair, with room to spare...and you have
your own bathroom of course. Ample storage space throughout apt. The apt.
is west facing (so sunlight from noon to sunset), 2 parking spaces (one
yours) gated and covered. large swimmy pool (supposed to be heated),
laundry and even a small and curious 'rec' room. 13 min from Venice beach,
10 min from LAX, 30 min from Hollywood(in traffic!), 15 min from
downtown(even at rush hour) . There is a 16 foot balcony which i've
covered in plants, some cheery xmas lights(no red-too tacky), a BBQ, 2 wicker chairs
and a wicker table. Utilities include high-speed cable internet, ALL the
movie channels w/DVR(tivo), On demand, and of course electricity.

Me: 33 yr. old str8 male, grew up in Alaska, lived 2 yrs in Tokyo, 4yrs in
Rio de Janeiro, 2 yrs in Paris(for Univ.). I have interests as varied as
my peculiar Mp3 collection...from painting and history to astronomy and
biology. I value honesty and trust as much as i do reason and a well
balanced approach to life. I am very fair and easy to live with...and hope
to find someone sensible, fun, and stable so that we may have a stress
free and happy home. I dont set 'rules' because it's not my place to play
the role of tyrant, nor parent...I wish to find someone mature,

I've a room to rent. It's located inside our apartment which is basically at the intersection of Palms and Jasmine Ave, LA 90034.
The room that's for rent has working cable hookup and is in a 3 bedroom apartment. I'm a 34yr old guy from Germany who grew up in Ireland and the other roommate is a 27yr old guy from France.

The apartment has a large living room and dining area and a great kitchen with non human dishwasher. We have a large patio and big gas bbq with a couple of big sofa's. We are close to the 10 Freeway and the 405 is only a few minutes away. There's a convenience store just up the road and a 7/11 just down the road. Vons is 500m away. Bus is about 30 yards :)

Our typical lifestyle is to work early and nearly always home by 6pm, Chill for awhile and then eat something before going to soccer or kicking back and watching a movie/tv/listening to music. Lights out tends to be 11.30pm but you're obviously welcome to burn the midnight oil as long as you keep the decibels low.

You should be in someway occupied on a daily basis and be at least fractionally worldy. Non vegetarian would probably suit best and someone attending AA probably wont work. A sense of humour would be beneficial to everyone's cause and conservative political views would just be confusing to 66% of the apartments current inhabitants.

Anyway $650 + utilities (-$40). First month rent + deposit $650 required to move in
