Premier provider of best of breed integrated logistics and supply chain solutions is seeking a full-time, Application Integration Specialist within our Information Technology Department Integration Solutions team.
The Application Integration Specialist will work with both external and internal business partners to develop or select vendor solutions based upon requirement specifications, work on multiple integration projects simultaneously, perform analysis on existing applications and work individually as well as part of a team. S/he will also serve as a project lead with responsibility for planning, communicating and executing multiple projects that result in the successful development of application solutions in the supply chain and financial environment.
This position is also responsible for integration solutions that effectively support current and future state business process and systems. The scope of these responsibilities will include both application to application (A2A) and business to business (B2B) integration solutions. This position will include development of integration solutions for B2B and B2C transactions as well as application integration between supply chain systems and financial systems integration.
S/he will document development projects and technical specifications. This includes development of standards and naming conventions and enforcement. The Integration Specialist will build strong relationships with our Business Partners for EDI Integration.
S/he will provide a mix of production support, project support, and future implementations of integration between internal and external customers. This is a full-time position and will be responsible for after-hours on-call support.
Accountabilities include:
• Develop and Adhere to the Development Standards and Policies standards and policies
• Facilitate and document Business Process Design with respect to data and system integration.
• Provide expert EAI/ETL solutions and strategies for cross-functional support between various internal and external systems via EDI.
• Develop, test, and document system enhancement integration functions and programming
• Develop, test, and document Security & Encryption standard policy for external customers
• Developing and Testing of partner transactions and evaluating for both inbound and outbound transactions.
• Provide post-implementation and ongoing support as needed
• Provide knowledge transfer coaching and mentoring to technical staff
Other Criteria:
• Ability to work in diversified teams as well as independently
• Willingness to work outside of normal working hours (nights and weekends), when required to meet certain deadlines
• Ability to travel to attend training courses, seminars and meetings
• Positive, flexible and energetic. Should enjoy a mixture of solitary programming time and team interaction and knowledge-sharing
• Ability to produce results on multiple projects at the same time
• Professional-level oral and written communication skills are required
Education:
• Bachelor's degree. Major in Engineering or IT related discipline preferred
• Proficiency required in Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) tools
• Proficiency required in Enterprise Application Integration (EAI)
• Proficiency required in MS Office Applications
• Proficiency desired in Boomi or Gentran or similar platform for EDI Development
• Proficiency desired in Java, C++ and/or .Net
Experience Required:
• Production Support, excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Implementation support and end user training
• Systems Development Life Cycle experience
• Minimum 2 years Application Integration Experience and platforms similar to Boomi and/or Gentran
• Minimum 2 years EDI delivery methods (VAN, FTP, AS2 or other dedicated connections) Experience
• Minimum 2 years XML mapping experience
