Position Overview
As a Configuration Manager, you will be responsible for managing and improve our build and release process. This person
should be comfortable managing a SVN repository as well as scripting in either Perl or Python. In addition to the build, they will be responsible for the repeatability of the install process using a combination of scripting and end user documentation. Currently, the build produces J2EE components as well as an embedded Linux OS, JVM, drivers and Java JARs.
Job Responsibilities/Functions:
* Managing the SVN tree and the branch policies
* Producing installable software artifacts when a new build is requested
* Improving the performance of the builds
* Managing and improving the build scripts and process
* Work with QA and Development to increase developer productivity and product testability
* Administer build servers and applications
* Document the software upgrade process
* Document the build process and artifacts
Requirements:
* SVN administration
* Version Control fundamentals
* C/C++ build experience
* Linux/Unix scripting using bash, perl or python
* Configuration Management experience in a commercial environment
Experience with the following, a plus:
* Maven 2
* Debian packaging
* Bamboo or other Continuous Integration server
* Linux/Unix system administration
* MySQL 5.x
* JBoss 4.x
