Summary of Job Duties
• Identify and report problems discovered during testing of printer products.
• Report problems discovered during testing clearly and accurately; detailing the problems discovered and the steps required to reproduce them.
• Work alongside developers to ensure products are performing as designed.
• Verify fixes are implemented correctly throughout the product development life cycle.
• Review software documentation for accuracy and completeness as it pertains to test objectives for the product.
• Use IBM Rational Clear Case database to record problems and test results.
Requirements
• Ability to follow directions, remain focused and communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a high intensity and fluid environment.
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Must be able to learn, comprehend and apply new concepts, techniques and procedures quickly.
• Excellent organizational, documentation, time management and analytical skills.
• Must have working knowledge of:
• QA methodologies, terminology, and tools.
• Multiple computer hardware platforms and configurations; Windows, Macintosh and Linux.
• Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suites.
• Must be able to work Monday through Friday with the flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Desired Skills
• Experience using IBM Rational Clear Quest for problem management.
• Must be familiar with MS DOS commands.
Experience
• Prefer a minimum of 2-3 years experience testing embedded products. Experience testing printers is a plus.
Education
• Prefer an Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
