BioDiscovery is a leading developer of software solutions for microarray data analysis. The companys bioinformatics solutions lead the market for Comparative Genomic Hybridization (CGH) and Copy Number Variation (CNV) analysis. Our headquarters are located in El Segundo, California with commercial distributors worldwide.
We are experiencing rapid growth due to new innovative products as well as a growing product portfolio and industry partnerships. We are currently seeking an IT professional to function in support and QA testing capacity. In this position, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer support for product licensing and installation, perform internal software testing, managing company network and hardware equipment, and managing company web site.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
BS in Computer Science discipline.
At least 2 years Experience in providing IT support
Knowledge of various operating systems, including Windows, Mac, Linux and establishing and managing company network
Knowledge and experience with web development and management
At least 1 year Experience with software testing of Java programs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate highly technical information to both a technical and non-technical audience.
Strong self motivation and personal organization skills. Ability to organize time and efforts to maximize results.
Team player with an ability to work well individually as well as in a highly matrixed environment.
Knowledge and experience with PERL and/or R is useful
