Zynx Health is currently looking for superstar senior Ruby on Rails developer to work out of our Los Angeles (Westwood) office. As a Senior RoR developer, you will focus on specifying, analyzing, designing, and developing new functionality for our flagship product. You will also be responsible for helping to build and mentor an internal development team.

Zynx is creating a new division of the company with a brand new web-based product. The product is a data driven, web 2.0 application featuring user-created content and collaboration tools. You can be involved in this exciting expansion from its very early stages.
Responsibilities
Design and develop new features of the Prime-a-Pump application.
Support and enhance existing functionality of the Prime-a-Pump application.
Deliver high-quality production code and unit tests. Deliver releases on time and on budget.
Grow into a leadership role mentoring a team of developers.
Work with the Director of Software Development to create and prioritize iteration and release plans.
Work with the Director of Software Development and subject matter experts to gather, assess and prioritize requirements.
Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle.
Communicate professionally and effectively to users, management, and other departments.
Actively participate in and drive knowledge transfer sessions with team of consulting developers.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required.
Advanced Ruby on Rails experience
Advanced data-driven application development experience in RoR (solid ActiveRecord experience).
Advanced object oriented programming experience.
Solid understanding of the MVC design pattern and other enterprise patterns.
Experience with Test Driven Development.
Advanced HTML, Rails View Templates (ERb), CSS, JavaScript skills.
Agile experience (XP / Scrum)
Experience with relational data modeling and performance tuning - MySql experience a plus.
Experience with shell environments (bash,tcsh etc) and UNIX/Linux administration.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Source Control tools – Git a plus
Nice to Have
JQuery and Ajax.
Good working knowledge of e-mail (Action Mailer)
Experience with RESTful web services
Development lead experience a plus.
Search server experience (Solr, Lucene) a plus
Experience in the healthcare industry and/or regulated software environments a plus.
Experience with configuration management tools a plus (Capistrano, Vlad).
Experience with continuous integration tools a plus (Cruise, Cruise Control, CCrb)
