Los Angeles-based Internet Brands, Inc. (NASDAQ:INET) is currently seeking a Freelance User Interface Designer with exceptional graphic design skills. Projects include site re-design, page layout and content presentation.
This position requires a deep understanding and passion for UX and experience in designing websites. To qualify for this position, you should be prepared to present multiple relevant examples of your work and justifications for why you made the decisions you did.
Skills:
High level of design skill and technical proficiency.
Strong understanding of information architecture and user experience issues.
Knowledge of Web design conventions, optimization and best practices.
Fluency in Photoshop, Illustrator.
Basic competency in Flash, Dreamweaver.
Great typography and layout skills an absolute must.
Qualities:
Take direction well, but also able to make decisions and take initiative.
Be aware of UX trends in desktop and web applications.
Can intuitively understand our products and the benefits users derive from them.
Experience, understanding and passion for what makes a great UX, with emphasis on ease of use.
Strategic thinker.
Marketing savvy - experience developing pages for marketing conversion goals a plus.
Articulate.
Professional, dependable, solid work ethic, detail-oriented, self-motivated.
Energized about Internet design and functionality.
Problem solver.
