The Web Designer will provide conceptual designs / comps based off of project requirements. The position will require working on all stages of the design lifecycle from comp to final coding. Thus production skills including graphic optimization and asset management are required. This position will be responsible for designing online advertising media such as emails, flash / animated banners, landing pages, core web pages, and micro-sites. Strong visual design, layout, and typographic skills with a sharp attention to detail are required. The candidate must have experience working with designs that integrate into defined brand guidelines.
Composition design and execution of online web banner advertisements, landing/detail pages micro-sites, email and promotional campaigns all within specified brand guidelines, project specifications and target audience. Many projects involve animation, video and XML fed technology.
Produce, animate and execute Internet based projects such as web banners, landing pages, micro-sites, email blasts, and online video.
Research & best practices for web design, production and animation development.
BFA in Graphic Design or related field preferred.
Excellent visual design skills necessary and outstanding design portfolio of interactive projects required
Minimum 2 year professional web design experience preferred within an agency or in-house advertising/marketing department
Qualified candidates will also have strong organizational skills, communication, and presentation skills
Must be able to work effectively under deadlines and manage concurrent projects
A strong understanding of web design best practices across the various forms of online creative
Possess strong interaction skills and work collaboratively with other designers
Ability to take direction to meet creative and business objectives
Experience in creative and conceptual problem-solving
Experience designing and developing banners, emails, web pages, and micro-sites
Experience with the industry standard web design programs (CS3 or CS4, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver)
Experience coding in HTML and CSS as well as optimizing graphics to be web compatible
Experience in Flash Animation, Action Scripts, XML and streaming video
Familiarity with Content Management Systems is a plus
Must be comfortable learning and using new technologies
