FORTH Magazine, Los Angeles' only Literary and Arts Magazine, is looking for a regular freelance investigative journalist, who is interested in investigating, uncovering, and writing about community, social, and political issues on a local, regional, and possibly national level. Our biggest readership is Gen X, so our writers are part of that generation as well. We're looking for a hungry, passionate writer to join our team; someone who is willing and unafraid to get down and dirty, controversial, and use any and all means to get the truth and break stories; someone who cares about our community and our world and how it is progressing, especially in relation to our generation; someone who believes this city and perhaps this country is for the most part lacking in real, honest, and INTERESTING journalism.

Our journalism is not dry, objective news; rather, it is subjective, experiential journalism (SubjExive), similar to Gonzo - a revival of New Journalism and extreme storytelling.

REQUIREMENTS
- MUST have experience and or training in journalism
- Have a unique, stylistic voice with an interest in SubjExive Journalism
- Published work a PLUS
- Have connections with local socio-political sources a PLUS
- Willingness to dig deep, work hard, and tell the stories others are afraid to tell
- Possess strong journalistic ethics and honesty

There is much room for growth, creativity, and telling the stories YOU want to tell. We don't edit our writers' voices or sensor their findings. We want unique styles and honest, potentially heated topics.

Please write us a COVER LETTER telling us about yourself and why you'd be a great fit, along with a resume and 2 clips of journalistic work (published if possible). Thanks!
