Writers Wanted for Scene Study Group
Are you the best writer you can be? If not, consider joining a newly-forming writers group intended to work on honing the craft of screenwriting. Each time we meet, we'll delve deeply into a scene (a classic scene, or a new one freshly written by a member of the group), tear it apart to see what makes it tick, and consider ways to make it better.
We are looking for smart, MOTIVATED writers who will attend regularly and participate openly in the quest to understand what makes a great scene work. As successful writers (novels and non-fiction) now embarking on screenwriting, we’re in the process of learning to apply our life experience and facility with language to a different genre.
The group should help any writer better understand the craft and techniques of writing for an audience: how to move them emotionally, how to drive a compelling story, and how to create memorable moments.
No fees are collected. This is to be simply a group of talented people who want to engage in the process of maximizing their creative talents.
