This Winter we ask: What does "dinner game" mean in today's society? In today's fast-paced, on-the-go world, is there such a thing left?
The Ahimsa Collective, a non-profit arts organization dedicated to spreading non-violence through the abundance of art, is currently looking for writers, playwrights, and/or screenwriters interested in collaborating with exciting contemporary choreographer on an original Dance Theater show that revolves around the above questions. The show will be set up as a “tasting menu” featuring different writers monologues, scenes, or short stories for each course, intertwined with dance and film. Writers of all ages and backgrounds welcome! The show will be premiering for a 3 week run in May- with hopes of touring beyond Los Angeles later in the year. We hope to create an unforgettable evening that touches on themes of love, loneliness and ritual.
Please submit a writing sample (no more than 10 pages) and any ideas that might have been inspired by this project (this part isn’t as important to us at this stage, the writing sample is!).
Writing samples are due by December 1st, and those selected will have their first draft ready by mid January.
