1. Identify maintenance and priority needs for efficient plant operations.
2. Determine tools, equipment and supplies required for purchase.
3. Schedule personnel to meet priorities.
4. Identify maintenance personnel requirements for plant maintenance as well as
machine maintenance.
5. Acquire supervise, and cross train personnel to develop skills levels.
6. Evaluate job performance against job responsibilities.
7. Responsible for compliance with company policy rules, notices and instructions regarding discipline, good housekeeping, safety rules, practices and industrial accident investigation procedures.
8. Schedule responsibilities for all maintenance people on a daily basis.
9. Manage and control any overtime work.
10. Organize maintenance shop with respect to equipment and housekeeping.
11. Help coordinate contractors, vendors, service people, etc., for work required.
12. Coordinate projects with all departments.
13. Available for call-ins and weekend work.
14. Train and maintain a safe working environment.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Ability to read blue prints or engineering drawings.
2. Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and
percentages.
3. Ability to understand and follow verbal and demonstrated instructions.
4. Ability to perform heavy physical work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force
occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly,
5. Good mechanical aptitude.
6. Ability to operate but not limited to drills, grinders, presses, band saws, forklifts, electrically powered hand tools and hoists, cranes, production, assembly and machine shop machinery.
