Bass Player Seeks Fun Band in the Antelope Valley (Antelope Valley)
Please read the entire listing before contact.
I'm retired from my day job. Looking for a band to have fun and to do fun gigs with. Been playing since I was 12 years old. Made a living at it for awhile.
Americana, classic rock, folk rock, psychedelic rock, jazz, regressive jazz, lounge jazz, Gospel, worship team et al.
Can double on rythym guitar too.
Classic Rock Covers, Folk rock (like the Byrd's), Worship team (Acton Area only on this one), Lounge jazz, I'm not afraid to wear a tuxedo in public, doing a Vic Fontaine thing would be fun.
I can sing some. Got gear, time and a supportive wife who has a background in show business law, management and booking. Looking for a fun band to gig out.
Only interested in an AV Area band. Gigs outside the AV ok.
What I'm not interested in: a "project" or dynasty.
I'm looking to be a band member in with my friends. Not a hired gun, not an ignore but, faithful employee, not a sit in session guy or other throw away position. If I commit to it, I'm all in. You get my best.
Just want to have fun playing out. No drama, nothing adversarial or contentious situations, no hidden agendas, just good vibes all the way around.
I use mostly Custom Jazz 4 string basses and Ibanez BTB and Marcus Miller 5 string basses.
I like SVT's but my back won't let me lug them around anymore. GK, TC, Mesa Boogie stuff here. Yes I do useeffects on occasion.
I don't have a place to rehearse unless it's all acoustic on the back porch.
