This is an authentic mudcloth artwork from the Korhogo region of Côte d’Ivoire. I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Côte d’Ivoire in 2002, and after I was evacuated due to the civil war, one of my Ivorian hosts mailed this mudcloth to me. I think the town in Korhogo where it was made was Farkaha.
Measurements are 57 1/2 in. width x 48 in. height.
I had a tailor sew a piece of fabric to the top and bottom in order to install rods to facilitate hanging it.
Local pickup in Los Angeles only. A similar mudcloth sold on EBay for $599.
