Description: Hinged rectangular lift lid decorated with frissage (parquetry) “tumbling block” pattern picked out in various exotic woods, framed with stringing and interlocking triangles, revealing plain open interior, the sides decorated to match top, all raised on semi-circular support which holds a pull-out work bag covered with cream colored pleated silk, raised on a crisply turned central column set on a rectangular plinth with cut corners, raised on four saber legs decorated with inlaid light wood stringing, extending to brass paw-form casters.
