Assistant Operations & Sales Manager – Cannabis Industry
Position Summary
The Assistant Operations & Sales Manager supports the Operations & Sales Manager in overseeing daily cultivation facility operations and assisting with sales functions. This role combines administrative, compliance, logistical, and customer support responsibilities to ensure smooth workflows, accurate reporting, and effective coordination between teams. Some driving may be required for deliveries, meetings, or operational errands.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Support
Assist with scheduling, task assignments, and workflow tracking.
Monitor cultivation and post-harvest activities to ensure SOPs are followed.
Maintain inventory records, track supplies, and assist with procurement.
Support compliance tasks, including METRC data entry and audit preparation.
Help track expenses and assist with operational budget monitoring.
Perform driving duties as needed for supply runs, client deliveries, or off-site meetings.
Sales Support
Provide administrative support for sales transactions and compliance documentation.
Assist with sales reports, invoices, and order tracking.
Coordinate between cultivation, post-harvest, and sales teams for timely fulfillment.
Support marketing activities, including updating records and preparing materials.
Assist with client communication and account support as directed.
Team & Administrative Support
Help onboard and train staff on SOPs and compliance procedures.
Maintain communication between management and staff.
Assist in preparing reports, meeting notes, and departmental updates.
Promote a safe, compliant, and productive work environment.
Qualifications & Skills
Required
1–2 years in operations, sales support, or administrative roles (cannabis preferred).
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for business-related tasks.
Familiarity with compliance systems (e.g., METRC).
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Proficiency with spreadsheets and recordkeeping tools.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred
Experience in both operations and sales within a regulated industry.
Customer service or account management background.
Basic understanding of cannabis cultivation and product handling.
Performance Metrics (KPIs)
