We are looking for an experienced Casting Director with a strong background in premium unscripted, documentary-style programming. This role involves identifying and securing real couples, not performers, who can sustain long-form, emotionally grounded storytelling without dramatization.
About the Show
The series documents couples over time as they explore the inner architecture of their relationship — how they show up, where they retreat, what they protect, and what they reveal.
This is not therapy television.
This is not conflict-manufactured reality.
The tone is neutral, observational, and precise.
Casting must reflect that.
Role Requirements
We are seeking a Casting Director who:
• has a track record in premium docu-series, relationship shows, or character-driven nonfiction
• can find couples with emotional presence, not performance
• understands how to interview without leading or editorializing
• can identify individuals who can articulate their internal experience without self-theatrics
• can recruit across diverse cultures, geographies, and socioeconomic backgrounds
• works well with high-level creative direction and maintains consistency with the show’s philosophical tone
• can manage a small casting team and oversee the full pipeline (research → outreach → pre-interviews → selects)
Ideal Background

• or high-integrity docu-series with relational or psychological depth
Candidates do not need specific therapeutic casting experience — only the ability to recognize authenticity, emotional steadiness, and narrative potential without forcing storylines.
Responsibilities
• Design and oversee the casting strategy
• Conduct and review pre-interviews
• Evaluate couples through the lens of relational capacity, communication clarity, and long-form engagement potential
• Provide detailed write-ups and video selects
• Maintain a casting process that aligns with the show’s neutrality and non-sensational tone
• Work closely with producers to ensure the cast reflects the diversity and complexity of modern relationships
