I am selling my beloved 1984 Chevrolet El Camino, which I purchased in November 2015 in Lynwood, WA from two brothers who worked on cars together. The car was a graduation gift from the older brother to the younger one. Along with other projects they installed the current 305 5 liter engine and had the transmission rebuilt by a local shop. They told me the lore of the car was that it had been previously used for racing in California and that the tailgate had a mural of the grim reaper on it before they repainted.
Many projects were completed under my care (see the full repair log below). I recently installed a new battery, tires, and a 1965 Chevelle bench seat. New stereo and custom speaker box. The dash gages don't work, it can misfire under load, and there's some minor body damage. The car was consistently maintained and used as a daily driver from 2015 to 2024, when the vehicle then became a secondary car. I would love to be able to keep it but I need the money for my mother’s healthcare and to simplify my lifestyle. I hope it brings the next person as much joy as it brought me!!!
