I bought this beauty 5 years ago from a mechanic in Redondo Beach and it’s been a pleasure to drive. California car for its entire life comes with clean title, current smog check, and registration good until July 2025. The paint code 702/Smoke Silver is original and has held up incredibly well. I’ve always garaged the car in my years of ownership. This wagon is powered by the 3.2-liter M104 inline-six engine, with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Everything is sorted and in excellent working condition. I replaced the original wire harness with a brand new one purchased from Germany (Kurth Classics), replaced all the fuses, new head gasket and engine work has been done within the last year. I installed a new blower and climate control module, so HVAC is working flawlessly, driver and passenger window regulators have been replaced, new alternator, installed an original Mercedes radio which has a Bluetooth receiver and microphone connected to it so you can stream audio as well as use hands free phone capabilities. The wagon is sitting on the factory 15” 8-hole alloys fitted with matching Continental tires that have at least 80% wear left on them. Power adjustable drivers seat with memory settings works as it should. The drivers seat shows tears in the leather and is well worn. The rest of the seats (including the 2 rear facing fold out seats in the trunk) look like they’ve barely been used. This is not a show car, but wears its patina with pride.
I have enjoyed it as a Sunday driver and for the local school run. It’s in excellent shape, very usable, and drives with power and confidence. Comes with 3 keys. I have kept all the printed maintenance records and documentation for the work I’ve performed on the vehicle in a binder.
