For Sale:
2008 Toyota Prius Touring.
It currently has roughly 167k miles. The Hybrid battery pack was replaced with OEM Toyota at 144k miles in 2020. I'm the 2nd owner, purchased directly from original owners in 2016 with 90k miles.
Clean title but will have to be sold as non-op since the brakes don't work and it won't pass smog with the check engine light on.
Price is firm at $2k since that is how much I can get from the state if I take it to the scrapyard.
The bad:
-Catalytic converter suspected bad: Throws a P0420 code and the CEL is on
-Brake pump/actuator suspected bad: ABS/VSC lights are on, loud electronic squeal when car is on, currently does not have brake pressure
-Minor rear end accident in March 2020 (replaced rear bumper, crash bar and hatch)
-Minor front end accident in Dec 2020 (replaced front bumper, hood, fog lights)
-Due to it sitting in the rain these past few weeks, some water got in, so there is now some mold in the interior
-Tire Pressure Sensors need replacing (entirely non essential, I just regularly check tire pressure manually)
The good:
-Replacement OEM Toyota Hybrid Battery Pack from Toyota Santa Monica at 144k in 2020 (22k miles ago) for about $2k
-Suspension replaced at 130k in 2019
-Tires replaced at 141k in 2020
-12v battery replaced at 162k in Nov 2024
-AC/heater and all electronics work great
-Always had all regular maintenance done, records available.
Extra's:
-MILLERCAT Catalytic converter anti theft shield installed
-Window Tint 3m Ceramic 70% Front, 20% back
-WeatherTech FloorLiner DigitalFit Mats (front, back, and trunk) also comes with original floor mats
-HeatShield Sunshade (front)
Touring trim level includes: Leather seats and steering wheel, navigation, JBL premium audio with 6 CD changer, backup camera, steering wheel-mounted controls, keyless entry, and push-button start. 16-inch alloy wheels, HID headlamps, fog lamps, and a larger rear spoiler. Leather seats in nice shape, regularly cleaned and conditioned, no rips.
