We are a small, private program located in the Altadena area of greater Los Angeles.
Our program currently serves 14 children in total...12 preschool aged children between 2-5 and 2 infants.
We are specifically looking for a teacher to work primarily with our 2 infants on a day to day basis. The candidate will be paired with a seasoned teacher allowing for various levels of experience to apply.
We are primarily an outdoor program that thinks outside the box when it comes to Early Childhood Education and are looking to redefine what quality programming can look like in a system that is increasingly moving away from true play based learning in favor of assessment chasing goals and harmful academic pressure.
Flexibility of mind, levelheadedness, and a playful disposition are non negotiable in applicants. Dazzling communication skills and a sunny countenance would be icing on the cake (grin).
We are strong advocates for increased living wages in the field of Early Childhood Education, but please note this is an entry level position in a new small business and the beginning hourly rate lies between $17 and $20 per hour depending on qualifications. There is opportunity for growth in the future, but we understand the extreme cost of living in California and want to be transparent in regards to the current salary limitations.
