These vintage speakers are unsurpassed. Large and require 3 feet off the wall, 3 feet separated. The sound is all atound the speaker. They are on metal open stands off the floor. Upgrade from someone well-known in SanDiego, fabric removed, metal overlay. I bought upgraded connectors. Somewhere buried in a closet. Greatly improves sound. These speaker are known especially for clarity and sharpness. The bass is not loud, not loud boom boom. But nice balanced bass. . I've played Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Beatles. Stones, David Bowie, and hard Rock, and heavy metal. For classical, piano, orchestra You cannot do better.
Sitting for20 years. I don't have the set up space.
If you are looking for these. You know their characteristics. And that they ended production in 1999. If you have records, You cannot beat these.
Sound was "perfect" and working. Your connectors make a difference in sound quality. I have silver wrapped, gold plated receptors. I forget the brand.
My audiophile friend that helped me, moved away, do I can't get his imput.
They were working well. You shouldn't hook up with having a professional refurbish. Meaning clean dust and check out.
I have to get a friend to arrange a pick up. You will need 2 strong people to carry. I can't volunteer my friend. You want to lie flat with furniture blankets. There are 7 stairs to apartment
I had someone referred who tried to hustle me, asking $299 to take to his shop & and test, not refurbish.
I am being told 50 to 250 per speaker. I wanted to refurbish to sell. I think he was taking advantage.
I can't get photos now. I have to arrange showing fir serious biyersconly.
High end. You wouldn't drive a Ferrari sitting for 10 years without a mechanical tune up.
