Fisher 400 Receiver late model (+50K serial number). This Fisher 400 has the more advanced FM circuit with extra tubes. It has been upgraded to accomodate modern voltages and has had an individual biasing adjustment modifiction and screen safety resistors added to keep all 4 tubes' bias current adjustable, prolonging tube life substantially. Dave Gillespie is a well-respected expert on the legendary Avery Fisher tube gear and has contributed many beneficial improvements to the FIsher 400 Receiver. Most of his recommendations and modifications have been implemented to this 400 receiver. All multi-section can capacitors have been replaced with new same size/spec can sections, coupling capacitors for output tubes have been upgraded to PIO capacitors which impart a lush, smooth sound. Output tubes are all NOS 7868, not Russian. Telefunken and Mullard tubes installed in Preamp/Tone/Phono sockets. Includes a 400 wood cabinet in excellent conditon with screen. Many hours of work has been performed on this classic tube receiver to make this piece of history last many more years and provide reliable service. I have a few of these great tube receivers for sale, all of them are restored with upgrades.
