Good afternoon, I have a Birria Restaurant in south Los Angeles and I’m looking for someone with at least two years of experience working with birria Quesatacos/Quesabirrias. Or at least two years of experience working in a Mexican restaurant or taco stand/food truck.
I want to expand my hours, I’m looking for someone that can work a late night shift. It would be 9pm-3am
9pm-2:30am of service then 30 mins of cleanup (it’s a small location)
It would mainly be orders thru the tablets (UberEats, DoorDash, Grubhub). But customers still have the option to come to the restaurant and order thru the pickup window. At first I dont anticipate too many orders from the street so like I said it’s mainly tablets.
So hopefully you also have some experience using Square or toast to accept credit card payments. It’s a very simple menu.
Must have experience cooking tacos, making burritos, quesadillas, mulitas, tortas etc (Part of the interview will be rolling a burrito 🌯)
Must know how to dice an onion 🧅, cilantro 🌿, limes 🍋🟩 and cucumbers 🥒 (part of the interview will be dicing an onion), pico de gallo.
Must have basic knowledge on how to prepare salsas, beans and maybe rice.
Must be ok making horchata (very important)
Must maintain the place clean 🧼, do some basic restocking. Clean up at the end of the night and leave the cold line ready for the morning shift.
The schedule would the Thursday- Sunday nights 9pm-3am, if it’s successful I can expand to Wednesday nights. It’s about 24 hours per week right now, with a chance for more hours during the week, depending on your availability.
The pay would be minimum wage, thru payroll. After 90 days there’s a possibility for a raise.
You can call or text with any questions or email your resume
