Outstanding and rare mid century credenza by Milo Baughman for Drexel’s “Perspective” collection, circa 1950s. This delightful unit is surfaced in exotic Mindoro wood from the Philippines. This unusual wood species closely resembles mahogany with its own unique color signatures, showcasing an exquisite chatoyance with a mesmerizing glittering quality. Light catches and casts within the woodgrain’s swirls of deep gold, caramel, and dark chocolate hues. The piece features 4 ample drawers at center with the collection specific carved hand pulls. The top most drawer is cloth lined and has removable dividers for organizing the contents. The left and right side host cabinet spaces with a single adjustable height/removable shelf. This special piece of American mid-century design is in excellent vintage condition with minor age appropriate wear.
