I own original pieces from the 40's through the 1960's and this reissue is exceptional. Instead of bronze tubing (later Walter Lamb pieces had steel frames clad in bronze tubing), these are solid brass and were made in Mexico. The craftsmanship, weight, and durability is remarkable. They can also be polished to a shiny gold, but I chose to let them patina to a dark bronze. We have three (3) chaise lounges, two (2) low chairs with matching (2) ottomans, a (1) round dining table with glass top and four (4) dining chairs with arms. Brown Jordan discontinued these and now only offers this iconic design in cast aluminum in many different colors (cool, but not in the spirit of the original heavy, forever, element-proof bronze or brass reissue). Original pieces from mid century sell for insane amounts. This reissue on offer here is very rare and unique. In recent years, I have only see one chaise lounge from this series offered for sale.
