Role Description: The Architect Interior Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Pasadena, CA. This position is responsible for developing interior architectural concepts, creating detailed space plans, and preparing construction drawings that align with project requirements and local codes.
Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with all teams, sourcing materials, building relationships with vendors and suppliers, and working to meet project budgets.
The Architect Interior Designer will participate in client presentations, refine designs in response to feedback, and support project documentation from early planning through construction administration.
Qualifications
* Professional Degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
* Minimum 2-5 years of prior experience in design-oriented architecture practice, with an emphasis on construction documentation for built works.
* Excellent visual and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to self-motivate in a fast-paced, creative environment.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD/Vectorworks, Adobe Suite, Rhino/Sketchup, and Maxwell preferred.
* All candidates must be current Southern California residents and have valid work status in the US.
* Demonstrated expertise in Architecture and Interior Design, with the ability to integrate building systems and aesthetics into cohesive project solutions.
* Proficiency in Space Planning to optimize layouts for functionality, comfort, and code compliance in residential and commercial environments.
* Strong skills in developing and coordinating Construction Drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details suitable for permitting and construction.
* Experience with FF&E selection and coordination, including finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment that reflect project budgets and design standards.
* Advanced proficiency in design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with building codes and regulations.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, contractors, and clients.
* Experience in ground-up development or mixed-use projects preferred; ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Starting Compensation $4,000+ per month (Depending on experience!)
