We are looking for some help with minor handyman type of work at a 4 unit house in LA. We already have professional contractors for plumbing electrical etc.. but we are looking for someone that has SOME experience in fixing things around the house but not someone who has too much experience. This Gig if for simple jobs and would pay according to your level of expertrtise.
This is not for someone with extensive experience as we have licensed contractors for the important things.
Like all things housing related, you need a general repair person who know their way around fixing easy and simple things. It's more labor and cleaning and fixing basic things. If it requires a professional I would call my licensed professionals.
I'm not saying that I am just gonna pay minimum wage. NO, what I am saying is that this is a minimum wage kind of job. If you grew up working around the house with your dad, and. you have some general experience in fixing a house, than I need help because I am going to law school soon and won't have time to do a lot of things I need done. It's an older house but built with redwood, so it's solid.
However, as a landlord for 20 years, houses always need maintenance and it never ends. There is always something you can be fixing to avoid any problems in the future. So preventive maintenance and somebody I can trust.
We will start by fixing up a unit I have for rent and it's not that complicated. You will basically help me move somethings, maybe replace some faucets, and very general things. If you have too much experience, this I probably not for you.
Probably someone younger who is willing to do general labor and help me fix tings aoudad the house.
I'll pay more than minimum wage.... But don't expect 50 dollars an hour as that is not what this gig is about. Probably more like 25 to 30 depending on experience and more if you deserve it. But like I said, this is a gig and not a high paying gig. It's just basically labor.
So please email or text me and say go to Home Depot or you are paying to little.
First, I don't want to hire someone that are at Home Depot. I want someone that is situated, that may need a little gig on the side. I'm not saying you have to be young, but it seems like it is geared toward somebody younger who doesn't have too much experience but has enough to help me around the house.
If we like you than we will give you a schedule according to you, and probably pay you more because you have proven to be honest and a capable worker we can count on. Somebody I can trust and someone I can make sure they don't have a criminal record etc.
Can't get that at Home Depot.
Thank you. I have had a lot of people apply, but also had too many people complaining that I'm cheap or whatever. No... this gig is a simple gig. But if you can bring to the table something we value like integrity, honesty, and a solid work ethic, than we can talk about the future. If we decided we want to hire you, than we will pay you more and give you a schedule according to your needs. We are fair. If you have these qualities than we don't mind paying more, as the attributes I mentioned before are hard to find. Trust has no value but I'm sure if it does, it would cost a lot...
It never ends, and there is always somethings to repair or fix to avoid any further problems.
Thank You. email, tell me about your self, and I will get back to you. just give me your background..
I'll get back to you if I feel you are somebody we would like to be on our team.
The economy is uncertain, so there are many people emailing me. But it's hard to determine if they are what we are looking for. call and we can talk and we can meet and you may fill a form with general info so we can check for a criminal record. That is if are going to hire you as a part time worker. We can talk about that later.
We are a legitimate LLC, but we are a mom and pop kind of business. It's a four unit apartment in downtown and Hollywood. It's right in the middle of those two.
