An exciting opportunity has opened at a growing and dynamic Westside law firm near the Howard Hughes Center for a litigation paralegal. The ideal candidate will have experience as a civil litigation secretary/paralegal, or a paralegal certificate in the alternative. Candidates with Spanish language proficiency are preferred. At least 1 year experience handling day-to-day civil litigation support; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat PRO, and PACER; and a solid understanding of the California Code of Civil Procedure as it pertains to discovery and motion deadlines are a must.
The most desirable candidates will possess the following additional skills:
Capable of meeting deadlines and juggling multiple assignments at once
Able to draft motions, pleadings and letters
Excellent at formatting court documents
Able to prepare discovery demands and responses
Capable of drafting discovery meet and confer letters
Technology savvy and very detail oriented
Comfortable working with clients on discovery
Familiar with court efiling systems
Able to work independently
This is a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking and being a self-starter are a must. Our firm is led by two partners who want to add to the existing dynamic environment.
