We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Law Office Manager with some Human Resources skills to join our prestigious practice in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have a background in managing a legal office as well as performing some HR functions, with expertise in administrative, financial, and human resources management. In this dual role, you will oversee daily office operations, including bookkeeping, assist in payroll, vendor relationships, and compliance, while also supporting HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative & Financial Management

Possess some comprehensive knowledge of legal support to effectively support the legal staff
Handle bookkeeping, including tracking expenses, reconciling accounts, and managing invoices
Process payroll and ensure timely and accurate compensation for staff
Oversee billing and payment collection as needed
Coordinate office supplies and maintain an organized workspace
Maintain relationships with multiple outside vendors and manage those accounts
Ensure compliance and assist with offices processes
Manage Firm Calendar
Some Filing and phone coverage
Human Resources Responsibilities

Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new staff
Manage employee records and HR documentation
Support performance management and employee relations
Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in a legal or law office preferred, with a some background in human resources management
Education: High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree a plus, especially in business administration, healthcare administration, legal or human resources
Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Suites (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) and bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks)
Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
Additional: Knowledge in Employment or Labor law, is a plus
