Los Angeles 2-hour Digital Camera Basics Workshop for Beginners
Date: Dec. 4-222, 2025My name is Elle, a pro photographer for 20 years and photo instructor for 12 years. I will be teaching a 2-hour crash course in 2-3 different locations in Los Angeles. You can select Venice Beach, Santa Monica, or Little Tokyo Arts District. This digital photography crash course is perfect for aspiring photographer Wanting to master their camera controls.Prior experience with film camera is a plus. You will need to bring any brand DSLR or Mirrorless Camera. ( Sony, Nikon, Canon, Panasonic )
Topics that I will cover:
1. Understanding the basic photography concepts2. Photography exposure basics - Aperture, shutter speed, ISO. This is called the Exposure Triangle
3. Mastering camera controls, which buttons to push to get to the final shot
4. Composition basics -rule of thirds, leading line.
5. Lens selections and purposes. ( portrait, sports, landscapes )
Class breakdown - 1st hour orientation, 2nd hour - Shooting on location, Applying the technical tips I will teach you. Our subject matter will be the Following: Architecture, street photography, people, portrait. Extra time is $ 50 per hour/per attendee
Workshop fee is $ 100.
Maximum of 4-6 people. Shooting time is usually 2 hours before sunset. All photo classes will be in late afternoon To capture the best lighting.
