We carry both Saltillo from Saltillo, Mexico and the more terra cotta colored tiles from Tecate, Mexico
Located along the famed "Ruta del Vino" between the mountain town of Tecate and the coastal city of Ensenada, Mexico is the region where the Solo Saltillo's tiles are produced. It is the place of BajaMed cuisine and arguably Mexico's finest wine region. The area has been described as the "Napa Valley of Mexico" because of its Mediterranean climate and emerging food and wine scene. While the Baja wine region of Valle De Guadalupe is well known, nestled amongst the mountains are adobe soil deposits that serve as a rich natural resource for the artisans that hand craft our adobe floor and roof tiles.
Solo Saltillo brings these artisan tiles directly to you and offers an affordable product that is environmentally sustainable and for Southern California, locally sourced.
