Ok I’m just going to say it, the Beyer M88 is the king of dynamic microphones. With its shimmery top end, thick Mids, and massive lows it’s incredibly hard to beat. I’m sorry SM7, that’s just the way it is! This mic shines on Electric guitar. If you want fat big sounding guitar with a single mic, this is it. Also widely used on Kick Drum (Charlie watts) and Bass, would also shine on vocals where an Sm7 would work, Toms?? Yes. It’s an incredibly universally applicable mic.
The TG version is more ruggedly constructed and has about 10db higher output than the vintage version, yes sounds extremely similar.
This one is in perfect cosmetic and operational condition.
