Up for sale is a vintage Alamo Challenger, Model 2562 (with a Ryder logo badge on the front). I've had the amp wired up with a 3 prong power plug, and a speaker output jack was also added, so you can connect to an 8ohm external speaker cab.
$225.00 - Cash only.
The amp sounds great, I'm just thinning the herd. When cranked up, this particular Alamo Challenger has more overdrive than other Challengers I've heard, as well as more tube compression.
Anyway, it's a really cool vintage tube combo at a much more affordable price than the Fender and Gibson low wattage tube guitar amps.
It is a vintage amp, so it is sold as-is. But I've had no issues with it and I had it serviced when I purchased it (added 3 prong power, external speaker jack).
This particular Challenger has a "Ryder" badge on the front. Alamo did sell some amps for other "brand names" that they would badge with the appropriate logo.
Probably from mid 60s to early 70s, but it is all tube (no solid state).
