I used to write commercial music, and that job sucked. I'm mostly a broke visual artist these days, but still want to explore an idea I have for a music project.
I'd like to team up with someone who's great at engineering/programming/recording/mixing... specifically ambient/house/techno/electronica, and pair that musical landscape with rough, unusual country toplines. Like if Lucinda Williams (except I'm a dude) paired up with Fred Again or Tom Rowlands.
A big part of what I miss about music is hanging out and creating something new and interesting with someone else. It would be fun to put it out in the world, make videos maybe, play some shows (I have lots of ideas for live lights and video - minimal but effective).
So if you have legit pro skills at the stuff mentioned and this project sounds like a fun and cool side thing for you, drop me a line. I have a few rough demos going that could work as a starting point... or we could start fresh.
