Hello female guitar player who is a little unsure of herself, but with the right people can come out of her shell and be the rock goddess she always knew she was!
We are an all female group: singer, bassist, and drummer. Two of us have been playing in bands for a few years. We are not the best musicians, but we have stage presence, charisma, and can give a good live show. We are looking for a guitar player who is collaborative, can give constructive criticism, and loves to rock out, even if it is a little scary. We want you to grow with us as musicians. In the beginning, we are going to do covers (so far Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Cake), but we have experience with doing original songs and would love it if you had ideas too.
Our vibe is fun, collaborative, and a little chaotic in the best way. If you are optimistic, good-vibe, and not afraid to sound terrible at first while we figure out something awesome.. let’s jam! You can even look at this band as an opportunity to figure out your own sound, and practice collaborating with other musicians- even if it’s just for a few months. It's just so fun to learn and play songs together.
Influences include Le Tigre, English Teacher, Idles, Lambrini Girls, Fake Fruit, Sweeping Promises, a little French Cabaret. Etc etc
Rehearsals are at MDM Studios on Monday evenings in Burbank - approx $12/person for 2 hours. Not late nights.
