Job Summary:
We are looking for a Clerical Safety Administrator with strong organizational skills, a mechanical mindset, and the ability to quickly learn technical processes in an engineering or manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who can support safety and compliance functions while understanding the flow of manufacturing operations and assisting with process documentation and technical administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform clerical duties such as maintaining safety records, logging incidents, and filing compliance documents.
Track safety training, audits, certifications, and PPE issuance across departments.
Support EHS team in scheduling training and preparing safety communication materials.
Assist with documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
Participate in safety meetings, record minutes, and follow up on action items.
Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and HR to ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations (OSHA, ISO, etc.).
Review and help update visual work instructions, using basic familiarity with technical drawings or mechanical systems.
Support incident investigations by gathering reports, witness statements, and ensuring timely documentation.
Input and track data in Excel or safety tracking systems (e.g., EHS software, spreadsheets, databases).
Qualifications:
1–3 years of administrative or clerical experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.
Mechanical aptitude—can understand basic machine operations or technical concepts (e.g., safety interlocks, production flow).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with databases or safety tracking software is a plus.
Able to read and understand technical documents, basic blueprints, or instructions.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn technical processes and work cross-functionally.
