Hi! I travel a lot and am often away from Los Angeles for extended periods of time. I need someone to manage things when I'm away, someone who can do it just as well as I can.

They are several home repair/ construction projects that need to get contracted, supervised, and completed. You'll need to work with a contractor to figure out exactly what work needs to be done and how it should done.
I have lots of extra valuable furniture and furnishings, and you'll be in charge of offering and selling them online. You'll even earn a small percentage of the price paid for each item. You'll figure out how much to charge with my help, take good photographs, and create the listings on Craigslist and eBay and 1stdibs.com.
I also have some short-term rentals to manage and you may be involved in that process as well. A few of the items above actually need to be transported to one of my rental units in Mammoth Lakes.
Besides the business management, there are also some errands, like having cars repaired, shipping items to me, or receiving items, watering plants, moving cars to the opposite side of the street, making sure the garbage cans get brought in, or supervising a housekeeper. When I'm away you will be in charge of making sure that everything is safe and well-tended.
You might also need to do some research like finding a new accountant, or changing insurance policies, or who knows what.
There's a lot of work to be done right now because some of it has piled up, but the work flow is flexible and you can probably work for as much as you like, especially in the first several weeks.
You should be comfortable doing things physically, as well as sitting at a computer screen.
I live in a duplex in Los Angeles near The Grove and The Farmer's Market.
It would be great if you are a mature person with direct experience managing projects, particularly those involving home repair and household management.
This is an independent contractor position paying $25 per hour, plus $0.50 per mile for errands, billed bi weekly and normally paid within 7 days of billing.
Please snd me a reply with the words "water the plants" in the subject heading to let me know you've read this far.
In your email, please let me know about yourself and your work experience, including what other work you're doing right now, your career goals, the area you live in, your phone number, and any restrictions on your time availability. Include a snapshot so I can connect a face with the details, and a resume if you have one.
I am a real person, and this is a real job. There is no agency involved and no scam. I would like to hire a smart reliable person and I hope that is you.
