NIKON "Pikaichi" L35AF 35mm f/2.8 now in SONY mount - $400 (baldwin hills)

by many referred to as the best point and shoot camera, mostly in view of the gorgeous 35mm F2.8 lens, which is now being converted to work on SONY mirrorless, the converted copy may be used on other mirrorless cameras with appropriate adapter.

this is the very first, and the best version of L35AF, with five elements in 4 groups

great image by a small compact lens.

This is the only one point and shoot camera being profiled by The Thousand and One Nights by Nikon, NIKKOR - The Thousand and One Nights No.33

https://imaging.nikon.com/imaging/information/story/0033/

In 1983, after a thorough preparation, Nikon introduced the AF compact camera, L35AF, named "Pikaichi" (meaning "top notch" in Japanese). The trade name of Pikaichi was chosen to represent the wishes that the camera would take the best pictures and sell the most in the industry.

The distinctive characteristic is the fact that Mr. Wakamiya selected the Sonnar-Type lens configuration to ensure the highest possible sharpness while increasing the apparent depth of field to the allowable maximum extent. I'm sure that his selection best fit the lens for compact camera.
