QUALIFICATIONS:
20+ years’ experience.
Aside from being an overall personal assistant to my clients, I have also performed in the following medical capacity: I have been the lead nurse over a quadriplegic home health team, caring for quadriplegics and elderly men and women with chronic illnesses such as Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Parkinson’s, Cancer, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Disabilities; drug dependencies; and also, Hospice care and 24hr live in round-the-clock care. Some of the duties I have performed are: Skin and wound care/prevention of bed sores, bowel care, stoma care, catheterization, organizing/administrating meds and shots, transferring heavy clients with or without Hoyer lift, ROM physical therapy/stretching, electrode muscle stimulation therapy, progress charting, chauffeuring clients in my own vehicle + licensed driver of wheelchair accessible vans; and all the other ADL’s; shower/bed baths & all hygiene, meal planning & prep, shopping and laundry; as well as taking care of errands, online product purchases, “assisted travel”- both cross country and overseas, and caring for patients who are bedridden. I’ve worked in-home, as well as hospitals, full care facilities, disability clinics and for multiple Home Health Agency’s making intermittent home visits, following doctors’ charts as per specific treatment prescription of patient/client care. I have been registered on the California Home Care Registry HCA ID # show contact info
; I’ve had background checks and “Live Scan” #G081LEM377 and had CPR certification. I have a current CA driver license, reliable vehicle, insurance, clean record, and I am a U.S. citizen. I adhere to a strict code of confidentiality and professional discretion with my clients. I have good work ethics and I’m always dependable. No drugs or alcohol abuse, no criminal record; & happy to do a current background check. Also pet friendly. Though I have been trained and certified, some certification has lapsed by not picking up the renewal in time; but I’ve had plenty of “hands-on” experience, and I learn new things quickly and efficiently when a patient/client has needs that are not typical.
Regarding Personal Assistance duties, they vary from day to day, as per the needs of my client; ranging from various computer work and typing; dictation etc. (70wpm), chauffeur to appointments and errand running, online purchases and research, home organization, etc.

A PERSONAL NOTE:
From my own experience, and in spending so much time in the lives of my clients; I know it is difficult for the client to find a good personal assistant or private nurse with integrity. For example, as I have worked with many quadriplegics who absolutely depend on their attendants & care providers, I’ve seen unreliable attendants not even show up to care for the client, or committing theft, or driving the client while under the influence, or using the client’s meds to support their own addictions, etc.
All this to say; I respect human lives, and genuinely care for my client’s well-being, including the importance of being trustworthy and honest.
