Call or email a complaint in to the LAHD--LA Housing Dept. And also the Dept of Building & Safety. And LA County Environmental Health. Tell them you are reporting a Habitability issue.
Also call the Housing Rights Center (HRC). They may also tell u to call L3gal Aid and inquire about a Habitability lawyer.
Do you live in a Winnssttarr building? They're usually good about maintenance but have not responded to anyone in our building for over a month. They have a new AI bot on the Maintenance portal that isn't working properly and no one's responding when we call to talk to the office directly. Gotta love them letting leaks in the building go without getting fixed and mold spores showing. They were slum-lordy before but at least paid attention. They're getting worse. Maybe they should be sued.
Put them on blast if they don't respond to your maintenance requests.

slumlord is not making repairs and i can't afford to clean up the kitchen sink backflow anymore. the smell of the dirty black sewage water lasts for weeks. the carpet gets wet and it doesn’t dry for days. the counter and cabinets expand and rot permanently. and i can't afford to do that much laundry.
i could use a plumbing sink drain auger but cannot afford it. please let me know if you can help with a free one. thank you :)
