The spot is simply killer, and will quickly assuage any concerns about living with strangers/somewhere new. We are on a cozy side street with pine trees, easy parking (no street cleaning!!), nice neighbors, and Trader Joe's, Gelson's, and plenty of bars/restaurants in walking distance. We have a yard, patio, washer/dryer, dishwasher, and central heat & AC.
Your room is huge: 215 sq ft with a walk-in closet. You and Leslie will share a large bathroom with a shower and a separate tub.
It's avail 1/1, the lease is month-to-month, and we are open to a temporary situation. The utilities vary from $30/month - $100+, depending on whether LADWP bills are due and our AC/heat usage (we try to keep it low). There is a $1666 deposit (5k divided by 3).
We try to keep things chill, peaceful, and relatively predictable around the house. We're down for the occasional bbq, game night, or impromptu kitchen drinks, but have found a good rhythm with roommates who have their own thing going on, and don't bring the party home.
It’s important to us to keep common spaces super clean, and contribute to deeper cleaning tasks so that they don't pile up.
About us:
I (Molly) have two rats and a dog, Roger. Roger is obedient and won't paw/lick/jump on you, enter your room without permission, etc. He's very adaptable to whatever boundaries you set. However, he's highly protective. He's loud and scary when new people arrive, so be prepared to give him some time and treats. On the upside - once he realizes you're a homie, you're in his pack til the day he dies.
