Millennial creative seeks sanctuary: Firstly a guest, then a tenant?

I was just a middle-class person like yourself, a 35-year old fine-dining waiter (until recently) by day, novelist/artist/screenwriter/composer/actor/researcher by night. On September 7th, my roommate changed the locks on our apartment while I was out; the next day my wallet & phone were stolen & I’ve been trapped outside ever since.
If I can shower & wash my clothes I can quickly re-enter the ranks of the employable; if I can provide a mailing address I can replace my debit card & ID; if like Eckhart Tolle when writing "The Power of Now" I can be granted a little time & space, I can change the world with what I’ve discovered in this peculiar interlude.
